What is your motivation?

We made it to the end of February!

Mother Nature has thrown us some curve balls, and I'm sure if you are like me, we are ready for Spring and Sun. Tax season is upon us, and I feel right now we are all in survival mode. Myself, I have bounced back from the car accident in December, and have tried to continue my fitness routine at home as well as the group classes. I don't know about you but I feel it is easier to work out with a group, instead of working out at home.

I am making this Blog today about your personal motivation. What do you use as your motivation to keep pushing yourself to workout, or motivation to just keep on track with your nutrition? My secret motivation is to have "accountability".

If you are choosing a home workout , grab a couple friends and find a program you all can do and challenge each other to stay committed. If one person falls off the wagon per say , then the others pull them back in to stay on track. My friends and I are using accountability with our nutrition as well. We created a group text and have committed to tell each other what we are eating each day. Accountability is everything and will make you more aware of what you eat on a daily basis. Yes somedays you may eat more calories than you should, that's ok. Friends don't judge you, they may be right there drinking and eating Mexican food with you lol.

If you are choosing to workout in a group setting, this is a great way to stay motivated as well. Group classes allow you to connect with people with similar goals. If you miss a day we all know, if you miss 2 days we all know, and when you start missing more, well........ we track YOU down. But seriously, when you find a class you love , and you find "your people" , this will motivate you to keep going and motivate you to stay on track with your fitness.

Hopefully February has treated you right, as we move on into March, maybe its time to set NEW GOALS. You are your biggest critic. Learn to love, honor, and take care of your body. What exercise motivated you the most? Are you doing it? What foods made you feel the best? Are you eating them? Only you know how you feel , listen to body, and cherish your body.

So lets welcome March in with open arms, bring on the Sun, and bring on the Smiles!
