Hello everyone - wow where as the time gone , i just looked and last time i did a blog was back in August, 2023. . Yes , August.! lol

Crazy how time flies by so fast. 2023 was a rough year for me due to the passing of my mother in March. Stress was a BIG factor for me. Its really hard to deal with the passing of a loved one, and to deal with going thru their possessions and getting their house ready to sell and trying to move on all at the same time. They say you need to grieve but really the reality of it all is there is no time. I managed the best I can , and with the help of my workout peeps I was able to keep pushing forward.

Through everything that happened in 2023, at the end of the year I did receive an award for the 2nd year in a row as "BEST of The Region" for yoga studio. Which i would like to Thank everyone that voted for me. Its still unbelievable, i am in ahhh. I have officially been teaching on my "own" for 2 years now since Genesis Wellness Studio closed. I keep improving my area inside Total revolution at the Lima mall. This location has been an adventure in itself , some days we have heat and the furnace is working and some days we don't. Some days we are in one yoga room and some days we are in the other. If you have been attending my classes at the Mall , thank you for having patience with me as we share this space with Jiu Jitsu folks.

In the end of 2023 we had another hard blow in the fitness community, Allison Dye passed away Dec 4th. A wonderful instructor that shared the gift of helping others. She started her journey in fitness at Body Genics, then moved on to teaching classes at UNOH, Yoga Tree, and finally helped me at Genesis. If you were lucky enough to take a class from her, or ever just to know and hang out with her you knew her heart was pure. She was a girl with a little ghetto , and a little gangster, but also kind ,loving and cared for everyone. She will be missed greatly and held in our hearts forever.

And now, here we are 2024 ! Happy New Year and Happy New You!

I have flipped the switch mentally , letting go of last year and I am ready to move on and bring Love and Light back into my life. Its time to start over, to reset and take care of me again. No new years resolution has been set , just ready to start eating healthy again and watching what i do for my body. Im excited to see where this year will take all of us , to evolve in what the universe wants us to be and to grow into the beautiful people that we all are. Sounds cliche' maybe, but do you agree ? Its time to take back our power and be the person you are meant to be.
