Happy New Year Everyone! Here we are again, the beginning of the year. As I sit here eating snacks watching Ohio State Football, Im starting to let it sink in Jan 3rd is Monday. (jaw drop) . I know right, it has come so quickly. Thoughts in my mind keep coming back that I should meal prep, I should prepare to limit my carbs,(as i eat another chip), time to suck it up and prepare. So as i write this I think of all the times in the past that I have started weight loss challenges, if your mind is not in it, you will not win it. How bad do you really want to do this? How strict do you want to be? Do you want to stop eating sweets? Do you want to stop drinking alcohol? Are you happy with how you feel? Are you happy with the person in the mirror? Well, this last one got me, no Im not. I see love handles on my body, I do have a pair of pants I would like to fit better in. So again, how bad do I want to fit in these pants is the question? Can you relate to this, if so THANK YOU for being REAL. No one is perfect, and everyone sees flaws inside themselves. So what I want you to do today is to FOCUS on how you FEEL, not how you look. Can you bend over and tie your shoe without problems? Does your back hurt, do your hips hurt? Are you depressed? If the answer is YES , then its time to FOCUS on how to change your health to FEEL better. Saying to yourself I want to be healthy , I want to breathe better, I want to have Happy endorphins. Its time to decide how YOU want to FEEL in 2022. Make this your year to feel better. So start slow, make changes in your diet, see how you feel by adding movement, and when you start to feel better make more changes. You are worth it. Make 2022 your year.
